Roselyn was promoted to the 2nd grade and has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. It’s always special to see the growth that happens in one year. Roselyn was speaking confidently and looked healthy. She still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. Roselyn continues to live with her mother. Thanks to the generous donation from Sandy Prestine, Roselyn has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Roselyn was kept in her current grade level of 1st grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

Roselyn is now in the 1st grade! Thanks to the generous donation from Sandy Prestine, Roselyn has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. When giving her school materials we noticed that she looked undernourished and poor in health. We later discovered that she has asthma and her family could not afford her monthly medications. We advised on some solutions. Still wants to be a doctor when she grows up and continues to live with her mother.

Roselyn’s father has been ill for the last few years and could not afford to send her to school. Her interests are playing with friends and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
