Rita continues to show steady progress in her education and successfully completed the school year, earning promotion to the next grade. Her teacher shared that she is doing well and benefiting from the consistency of being in school. Rita expressed feeling happy to return to class this year and is motivated to keep learning and improve her performance. With the support of Girl Power Africa covering her school needs, Rita remains focused on her goal of continuing her education and moving forward with confidence.

Rita has been promoted to the 2nd grade and continues to have a strong love for reading. After school, she takes on a variety of responsibilities, including helping to cook for her family. She then goes to the creek to fetch water, ensuring her family has what they need for the day. In spite of her best efforts, her enterprising mindset, Rita’s mother could not make enough to feed her children and send them to school.  Rita is nine years old and in kindergarten class.  Her father abandoned the family many years ago.  Rita wants to be a tailor one day and is thankful for the gift of a scholarship.
