Riches is now 12 years old and was promoted to the second grade this year. He continues to live with his mother and siblings, helping his family in every way he can. Although his favorite sport is soccer, Riches rarely has time to play because after school he goes home to help his family draw water from the nearby creek, which is needed for cooking and daily chores. Once the meal is prepared and the family has eaten, Riches settles in to complete his homework before going to bed, ready to do it all again the next day. Despite his busy schedule, Riches remains a dedicated and eager student. He is grateful for the opportunity to attend school through the Girl Power Africa program and works hard to make the most of every lesson. His teachers praise his focus and determination, and Riches continues to show resilience in balancing school, family responsibilities, and his dreams for the future. We are proud of Riches for his hardworking spirit and perseverance. His commitment to both his family and his education is inspiring, and we know he will continue to grow and achieve great things

Riches is a bright and determined 10-year-old in the first grade this year. She lives with her mother, who has been doing her best to care for Riches and her six siblings. Although Riches’ father disowned the pregnancy, her mother has taken on the responsibility of raising her children, working as a farmer to provide for them. With limited financial resources, sending all the children to school regularly has been a struggle for her mother. Despite the challenges at home, Riches remains grateful for the opportunity to attend school through Girl Power Africa’s sponsorship. She is an eager student, always excited to learn and do her best in class. Riches has big dreams for the future and hopes to become a doctor when she grows up, determined to help others and make a difference in the world. At home, Riches helps her mother with the household chores, including farming and caring for her younger siblings. Her hardworking nature and positive attitude shine through in everything she does. We are so proud of Riches for her resilience and ambition, and we believe she has a bright future ahead of her. With her dedication and determination, we know she will continue to thrive and one day fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor. Sponsored by: Mike Arnold
