Despite the loss of her father, Anna remained committed to her education and continued attending school with determination. With Girl Power Africa’s support covering school fees, supplies, and shoes, she was able to stay enrolled and focused on her studies. Nine-year-old Rebecca is in kindergarten-2 class and lives with her parents and eight siblings. She wants to be a police officer one day. Were it not for GPA scholarship opportunity, Rebecca’s educational journey would have been delayed yet another year. Only six of the eight school age siblings are in school. Rebecca enjoys singing in her church choir and playing with dolls; her favorite dish is cassava leaf stew eaten with rice. Rebecca and her family are thankful for the gift of a scholarship.
