Promise is now 10 years old and has been promoted to the 1st grade this year. While her teacher shared that she struggled academically and barely made it to the next grade level, Promise has not let that discourage her. Instead, she has made a sincere promise to work harder this year and improve her grades. Living with her single, unemployed mother, Promise continues to face daily challenges. Yet her bright spirit and determination remain strong. She understands that education is her pathway to a better future, and she is committed to giving her very best effort in the classroom. Promise still holds tightly to her dream of becoming a lawyer one day—someone who stands for justice and helps others. Though the road may not always be easy, her resilience and willingness to keep trying show the strength within her. We are proud of Promise for refusing to give up and for choosing to push forward with courage and hope.
