Ophelia was promoted to fourth grade and still live with her mother. Ophelia shared she still want to be a beautician and she braids hair in her community. Thanks to the generous donation from Phil Vasby, Ophelia has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 3^rd grade this year and still wants to be a beautician when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.

Meet Ophelia, who has been generously sponsored by Phil Vasby. She is 9 years old and is in the 2nd grade this year. She lives in Gbapa, Liberia with her mother. She has never met her father because he abandoned the family when she was born. She helps around the house by drawing water every day from the well and cooking. Her interests are doing nice styles in people’s hair and she hopes to be a beautician when she grows up.
