Eleven-year-old Nancy is currently in Kindergarten One, starting her educational journey later than most children her age. Her life has been filled with challenges from the very beginning. When Nancy was born, her father disowned her because he had hoped for a boy. Unable to accept having a daughter, he walked away from the family, leaving Nancy’s mother to care for her and her four siblings on her own. Nancy’s mother, a single parent of five children, has been doing her best to provide for the family, but financial struggles have made it difficult to send Nancy to school.
