Muneca received a double promotion from first to third grade! During her interview, she was excited to share the news of her promotion and how hard she’s been working. We are proud of her hard work and dedication.  Muneca was living with her aunt but now lives with her mother and step farther.  She is happy for the change in her life circumstances that allows her to be closer to her mother.  Muneca still wants to be a seamstress one day. Meet Muneca, who has been generously sponsored by Pat Rucks. She is 7 years old and in the K-1 this year. She lives in Sannequillie, Liberia with her aunt.  Muneca’s mother was a petite business woman. On her way to Monrovia with her goods to sell, the passenger car that she was riding in had a tragic accident and everyone on board died with the exception of Muneca’s mom, who broke both legs. Her father who was a small farmer is now the caregiver of his wife and therefore could not afford to send their children to school. Muneca was given to her aunt to raise.  Her interests are going to help her mom and she hopes to be a seamstress when she grows up.
