Mary is 13 years old and is in the 1st grade. She lives with her unemployed single mother and 5 siblings in a 2-room mud house. As the oldest in the family, she takes on the responsibility of cooking and drawing water for the house. Despite her challenging circumstances, Mary hopes to become a nurse when she grows up.
