MARY: S1038-GBL
October
2025
Mary has been promoted to the second grade this year, and she was so proud of herself for moving forward. Her teacher describes her as a very good student who is growing more confident each day. Once a shy little girl, Mary is now smiling more and participating more in class, showing wonderful progress both academically and socially. Mary continues to live with her grandmother, who lovingly cares for her after the loss of both her parents. Although life at home remains financially challenging, Mary’s determination to learn and build a better future has not changed. Her growing confidence, bright smile, and dedication to school show how much this opportunity means to her as she keeps moving ahead. Sponsored by: Scott Heise

Mary is eight years old and in the first grade. She lives with her grandmother, who took her in after her mother passed away during childbirth two years ago. Shortly after, her father had a heart attack and also passed away. Mary’s grandmother, although caring and loving, is unemployed and struggles to provide enough for Mary and the family. Because of their financial difficulties, she is unable to send Mary to school regularly, but Mary continues to show resilience and dreams of a better future. Sponsored by: Scott Heise
