MARTIN: S1033-GBO
October
2025
Martin is now 10 years old and has been promoted to the third grade this year. He arrived with more confidence than before and happily showed our team a “style” — raising two fingers in a peace sign. With a smile, he said it was for his sponsor, a sweet gesture that showed his gratitude. Martin continues to live with his parents and siblings, where life remains financially challenging. His parents still work hard making charcoal, but resources are limited. Even so, Martin remains hopeful and motivated in school. His dream of becoming a police officer one day is still strong, and his growing confidence shows he believes more and more in his future. He is grateful for the opportunity to stay in school and keep moving forward. Sponsored by: Denise Moest

Martin is 9 years old and in the second grade. He lives with his parents and his six siblings. Martin’s parents work tirelessly to make charcoal, earning about $40 a month from their business. Unfortunately, this income is not enough to cover the family’s basic needs or consistently send the children to school. Despite these challenges, Martin is full of hope and ambition. He dreams of becoming a police officer when he grows up, inspired by his desire to protect and serve his community. Sponsored by: Lori Kilstrom Higgins
