Our future fashion designer is making progress in school! 12-year-old Marie had a good school year and is promoted to third grade. Her favorite subject is science, and she is determined to get a double promotion next year; an option for students who are not in an age-appropriate grade level. GPA is happy to walk alongside Marie in her quest to beat the odds against her. Older girls are prone to drop out of school; especially when age-appropriate grade level matriculation is not encouraged or possible. Marie is both hopeful and committed to do all she can to achieve her goal. Sponsored by: Tina Bender
Thanks to the generous donation from Tina Bender, Marie has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 2nd grade this year and still wants to be a fashion seamstress when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.
Meet Marie, who has been generously sponsored by Tina Bender. She is 10 years old and is in the 1st grade this year. She lives in Suakazue Town, Liberia with her mother. Marie is one of eight children. Her father abandoned the family to go marry another woman. Her interests are to become a fashion designer and she hopes to be a tailor/seamstress when she grows up.
