Linda was promoted to first grade. Her home circumstances have improved and her teacher developed a supportive learning plan. Linda continues to live with her grandmother and still hopes to be a business woman one day.
Linda’s home circumstances were very challenging and there appears to be some learning challenges as well. Regrettably, she was actually demoted from first grade back to kindergarten-2. Unfortunately, in Liberia, there is no special education program for children like Linda. One can only hope that given the right support from family and teachers; Linda will have a better school year. She continues to live with her grandmother and dreams of being a businesswoman one day.
