Kindness did not pass her class and was retained in kindergarten. We received reports that Kindness was ill and missed several weeks of school. She was unable to catch up when she returned. At our follow-up session, Kindness was withdrawn, quiet and respectful. Thanks to our amazing partner network for giving Kindness another chance to pursue her educational goals. Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Kindness has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the K2 grade this year and still wants to be a mechanic when she grows up. She continues to live with her grandmother.

Meet Kindness, who has been generously sponsored by Joyce Jorgensen on behalf of the estate of Dennis Valstad. She is 6 years old and is in the K-1 grade this year. She lives in Sehyi Geh, Liberia with her grandmother. The mother became paralyzed because of complications during childbirth and is unable to care for the children. Her interests are fixing cars and motorbikes and she hopes to be a mechanic when she grows up.
