September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Shannon Kaszuba, Katrina has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 5th grade this year and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She continues to live with her grandmother.
September 2020: Meet Katrina, who has been generously sponsored by Shannon Kaszuba. She is 12 years old and is in the 4th grade this year. She lives in Sehkimpa, Liberia with her grandmother. Both of Katrina’s parents abandoned her when she was about 6 months old. Her grandmother is unemployed and has been unable to send her to school on a regular basis. Her interests are reading and she hopes to be a medical doctor when she grows up.
