Jutee is now in second grade and continues to make steady progress with the support of Girl Power Africa. He successfully completed first grade and performed well academically, particularly in mathematics and science. Jutee lives with his mother, who works hard to provide for the family but faces financial challenges that make it difficult to meet school-related expenses. Through the provision of school materials and fees, Girl Power Africa has helped ensure that Jutee remains in school and is able to focus on his studies. With this continued support, Jutee is motivated to advance to the next grade level and hopes to one day become a nurse so he can care for others. Sponsored by: Jean Glennon

Jutee was promoted to the first grade this year and has a strong interest in computers. He still lives with his mother. During this year’s school distributions, he had the chance to explore computers and laptops, which brought him so much joy and excitement. He is thriving in school, and his favorite subject is math. Jutee was promoted to the Kindergarten-2 class and continues to live with his mother. He still dreams of working with computers one day. He shared with us “when he gets home from work, he goes and fetches water from the nearby creek with his friends, then lights a fire for this mom to cook for the family.” Sponsored by: Jean Glennon

Nine-year-old Jutee is in kindergarten-1 class and wants to work with computers one day. He was three months old when his father fell from a palm tree and sustained injuries that does not allow him to do laborious work. Jutee’s mother struggles with farming and other sporadic ways to bring solo income into the home. Jutee’s schooling has been delayed because his mother could not raise enough money to feed her family and pay school fees. Jutee is very thankful for the gift of a scholarship.
