Junior, now 14 years old, was unfortunately unable to complete fifth grade this year due to a serious incident. While helping his family on the farm one evening, he was bitten by a black mamba snake. This caused him to miss school for some time, but thankfully, his life was spared, and he is now back in school and ready to continue his studies. Junior is incredibly grateful for this second chance and is determined to make the most of it. Despite this setback, Junior’s dedication and focus remain strong. He continues to live with his grandmother, who supports him in every way she can. His dream of becoming a mechanic continues to motivate him, and he is committed to working hard in class so he can achieve that goal. Junior’s resilience in the face of danger and illness is truly inspiring. His teachers and family are proud of his courage, determination, and gratitude for the opportunity to continue his education. We are confident that Junior will keep striving, overcome obstacles, and accomplish great things in the future.

Meet Junior, who has been generously sponsored by Marlen Mares. He is 8 years old and is in the K-2 grade this year. He lives in Beagonpa, Liberia with his grandmother. Junior was abandoned by his parents and currently lives with his grandmother who is unemployed and could not afford to send him to school on a regular basis. He likes everything to do with cars and he hopes to be a mechanic when he grows up.
