Thanks to the generous donation from Hope & Elizabeth Mikkelson, Josephine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to cancel double/triple promotions that were given to students the year before. Josephine’s double promotion was taken away and She is now in the 8th grade for the 2021/2022 school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
