Josephine has been promoted to the third grade and remains under the care of her uncle. Thirteen-year-old Josephine was promoted to second grade and has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. She still lives with her uncle and want to be a teacher when she grows up. Her favorite subject is science. Sponsored by: Ronel Perrault

Thanks to the generous donation from Tracy Gundlach-Szabo, Josephine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Josephine was kept in her current grade level of 1st grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her uncle and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

Thanks to the generous donation from Andrew Palmer, Josephine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She did not complete her last year and is still in the K-2 grade this year due to her uncle hiding her from the FGM but she still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her uncle.
