JOSEPHINE: S154-BOA

September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Tracy Gundlach-Szabo, Josephine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year.  Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Josephine was kept in her current grade level of 1st grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her uncle and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Andrew Palmer, Josephine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She did not complete her last year and is still in the K-2 grade this year due to her uncle hiding her from the  FGM but she still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her uncle.

October 2019: Thanks to the generous donation from Andrew Palmer, Josephine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019-2020 school year. 

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Josephine was promoted to the K2 for the 2018-2019 school year. Andrew, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education. 

2018:  Josephine who has been generously sponsored by Andrew Palmer. She is 8 years old is in the kindergarten1 this year. Josephine lives in Boapea, Liberia with her uncle. 

2017:  Josephine who has been generously sponsored by Lori Fischer Hall and family. She is 7 years old is going to school for the first time this year. Josephine lives in Boapea, Liberia with uncle because her mother has 5 children and could not afford to raise her. Her interests are playing with friends and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
