JOETTA: S1110-SEC

Joetta is a 9-year-old girl who lives with her grandmother and is currently in kindergarten. She is the youngest of ten children, and her life changed dramatically two years ago when both of her parents were tragically killed in a serious car accident. Since then, her grandmother has taken on the enormous responsibility of caring for all ten grandchildren. Joetta’s grandmother is unemployed, and providing food, care, and education for so many children has been incredibly difficult. Despite these challenges, she does everything she can to keep the children safe and together. Being able to send Joetta to school is something she could not have managed on her own.  Joetta is very grateful for the chance to attend school, and her grandmother is deeply thankful for the support that has made this possible.
