Joanna is now 16 years old and was promoted to the fifth grade this year. Over the years, her growth has been truly beautiful to witness. When she first joined Girl Power, she was extremely shy and barely spoke a word. It was difficult to get her to open up. Today, she arrives with a smile, her confidence shining brighter than ever. The transformation in her self-esteem and presence is something we are incredibly proud to see. Academically, Joanna continues to perform well. Her teacher describes her as a focused and capable student who understands her lessons and applies what she learns. She has grown not only in knowledge but also in confidence, learning how to balance her responsibilities while taking her education seriously. Joanna’s journey is a powerful reminder of what encouragement, support, and opportunity can do in a young person’s life. Seeing her smile and stand a little taller each year is a true victory. A heartfelt thank you to her sponsor for making this progress possible and for helping Joanna continue building a brighter future.

Fourteen-year-old Joanna is in the third grade and lives with her parents in Sanniquellie. She wants to be a nurse one day and enjoys playing kickball. Her grandfather use to support her school fees but he passed away a year ago. This left Joanna stranded and worried about whether or not she could continue in school. She and her family appreciate GPA scholarship support. Sponsored by: Ann De Broux
