JACKSON: S152-LIA

November

2023

We are thrilled to share that Jackson has been promoted to the sixth grade! This achievement brings him one step closer to his dream of becoming an auto mechanic in the future. Jackson’s determination to succeed in school was evident this year as he worked diligently to pass.

Fortunately, Jackson was able to adjust his work schedule to prioritize his education and devote more time to school. Now, he only works on weekends to support his family financially. Despite his responsibilities, Jackson remains under the care of his uncle, who provides him with a stable living environment as he pursues his academic and career aspirations.

Though he is in good health and spirits, Jackson did not have a successful school year.Ā  His uncle wasĀ ill during the second semester and Jackson could not attend school.Ā At 16 years of age, Jackson had to fill in the gap by acquiring casual daily labor jobs to assist his family to harness resources to pay for his uncleā€™s medical treatment and assist with providing the familyā€™s needs.Ā  His uncle has recovered, and the family is thankful for the assistance of GPA to allow Jackson another opportunity to complete 5th grade. ā€¦.one more step towards his goal of one day completing high school and becoming an auto mechanic.
