HELLEN: S255-BEA

November

2024

Hellen was promoted to the 10th grade this year, and she continues to work hard toward her dream of becoming a doctor. Her favorite subject is English, where she excels, and she is dedicated to improving her skills every day. Despite the challenges she faces, Hellen is determined to succeed. To help support herself and her family, Hellen has also taken up learning how to sew at a local tailor shop. It’s not easy, but she is committed to learning the trade and contributing to her family’s well-being. Her resilience and willingness to learn new skills show her strong character and determination. Hellen’s favorite food is potato grains with rice, a simple but comforting meal that gives her the energy to face each day with enthusiasm. As she continues her journey through high school, we know that Hellen’s hard work, dedication, and dream of becoming a doctor will guide her to a brighter future. We are incredibly proud of her progress and all she has accomplished so far. Sponsored by: Kathi Moest

Thanks to the generous donation from Dawn Lalley, Hellen has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019/2020 school year. She continues to want to be a doctor when she grows up. With less than 500 doctors serving a population of 4.5 million people, Liberian households often experience fatalities due to treatable illnesses.  Children aspiring to become doctors is a worthy cause.

Meet Hellen, who has been generously sponsored by Dawn Lalley. She is 12 years old and in the 4th grade this year. She lives in Beagonpa, Liberia with her parents. Both of her parents are unemployed and couldn’t afford to send their 7 children to school on a regular basis. Her interests are helping her parents and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
