Harriet is now 10 years old and has been promoted to the first grade this year. We are very proud of her for moving forward! Her favorite subject continues to be spelling, and she enjoys practicing new words whenever she can. According to her teacher, Harriet is a very hardworking student, although she has been a bit shy in class this year. Her teacher also shared that Harriet struggled academically at times and was right on the borderline for passing. She barely made it to the next grade level—but she did pass, and that is something to celebrate! Harriet has promised to try harder this coming year so she can perform more strongly and build her confidence in the classroom. After losing her father, Harriet continues to show resilience and quiet strength. She still lives with her mother, who works hard to provide for her and encourage her education. Despite the challenges she faces, Harriet remains committed to school and grateful for the opportunity to learn. We are proud of Harriet’s perseverance and determination to keep moving forward.
