HANNAH: S272-DUA

November

2024

Hannah was promoted to the seventh grade this year, and English is her favorite subject. Unfortunately, her mother abandoned Hannah and her siblings, leaving them in a difficult situation. However, one of the Girl Power Africa team leaders stepped in and took Hannah and her siblings into her home, providing them with care and support. Despite the challenges she has faced, Hannah remains determined to succeed in school. She helps the Girl Power team leader by working at the Girl Power market, contributing to the new family she is now living with. Hannah’s strength, resilience, and commitment to her education make her an inspiring student, and she is making the most of the opportunities available to her.. Sponsored by: Pam Albi

Meet Hannah, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (CW). She is 10 years old and in the kindergarten-1 this year. She lives in Duazon, Liberia with her mom and dad. Hannah’s mother, who is a Girl Power Africa recipient, has been seriously sick and has been taken to the “sick bush” (herbalist) for treatment. Hannah’s father, who is a contractor, is having a difficult time making ends meet. She hopes to be a representative when she grows up.
