Grace is now 16 years old and was promoted to the sixth grade this year. She continues to do very well in school and remains a serious and focused student. Her teacher shares that she is performing strongly in her lessons and consistently shows dedication to her studies. This year, Grace shared that math is her favorite subject. When asked why she enjoys math so much, she smiled and said, “Because I’m good at counting numbers.” Her confidence in her abilities is growing, and she takes pride in doing well in her work. Grace continues to demonstrate responsibility and maturity in the classroom. Her steady progress and determination reflect her commitment to building a bright future through education. We are proud of the strides she continues to make each year.

Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Grace has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 2^nd grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother. 

Meet Grace, who has been generously sponsored by Joyce Jorgensen on behalf of the estate of Dennis Valstad. She is 10 years old and is in the 1st grade this year. She lives in Sehyi Geh, Liberia with her mother. Her father died three years ago from a stroke leaving behind his wife and 4 children. The mother finds it difficult to support her family.  Her interests are helping her mom to care for the family, and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
