GEORGE: S13-SUA

November 2023:  George is back! He was promoted to third grade and still dreams of becoming a lawyer one day.  He is hopeful of acquiring another double promotion which will place him closer to achieving his academic and professional goals.  The assurance of a continuous scholarship gives George the courage and motivation to dream with confidence.

October 2022: George was taken out of school due to unknown reasons. We hope he will be back to get an education. Often times, children are taken out of school to help their parents work, take care of the children, or household duties.

September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, George has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He received a double promotion and is now the 2nd grade this year. He still wants to be a lawyer when he grows up. He continues to live with his uncle.

September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, George has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. He has not completed his last year and is still in the K-2 grade this year. He still wants to be a lawyer when he grows up and he continues to live with his uncle.

October 2019: Thanks for the generous donation from Julie & Rick McKy, George has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019/2020 school year.

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that George was promoted from K-1 to K-2 this year. Mary, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education.

2018:  Meet George, who has been generously sponsored by Mary and Al Zins. He is 9 years old and in the kindergarten-1 this year. George’s father died from a snake bite in 2010. He lives in Suakarzue, Liberia with his uncle who is unemployed and couldn’t afford to send him to school. His interests are playing football and he hopes to be a lawyer when he grows up.
