November

2024

Favor was proudly promoted to the fifth grade this year, and her favorite subject is English. She has a passion for learning and continues to excel in her studies. This year, Favor’s leadership qualities shone brightly as she was elected her class vice president, a role she takes great pride in.She recently moved to live with her grandmother, who has been a pillar of support for her. Despite the changes in her living situation, Favor remains focused on her education and sets a positive example for her peers. Her teachers describe her as a determined, hardworking student with a bright future ahead. Sponsored by: Pam Albi

Favor successfully advanced to the fourth grade, demonstrating remarkable resilience throughout the school year despite the loss of her cousin, who was a significant part of her life. Despite facing numerous challenges, she remains resilient and dedicated, showing up to class every day and putting in hard work. Favor’s aspiration to become a nurse remains strong, and she continues to reside with her mother. Sponsored by: Pam Albi

2022

Favor was promoted to third grade and has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year.  Favor still wants to be a nurse one day and continues to live with her mother. Nurses and health care workers in general are sorely needed in Liberia where access to medical care is challenged by a limited number of health facilities and workers. GPA is honored to walk alongside Favor and encourage her dream of becoming a nurse.  Sponsored by: Pam Albi

Meet Favor, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (CW). She is 5 years old and in the kindergarten-1 this year. She lives in Duazon, Liberia with her mother. Favor’s father left the family to go in search of an employment opportunity and have not been heard from since he left about a year ago. Her mother, who is unemployed is having a difficult time supporting the family’s dily needs.  Her interests are helping her mom to cook and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
