Emmanuel was promoted to 6th grade! His favorite subject is English. Emmanuel dreams of being able to fully support his family one day. For now, he’s doing the best he can, by going to school and afterwards, working at a motorcycle shop. He uses any profit for food for him, his mother, and siblings. He is also the soccer captain for his school. He still wants to be a computer analyst when he grows up and continues to reside with his mother. Sponsored by: Kathleen Konicek

Thanks to the generous donation from Kathleen Konicek, Emmanuel has been re-enrolled in school for the 2021/2022 school year. He was promoted to the 5th grade this year and still wants to be a computer analyst when he grows up. After school, Emmanuel works at a motorcycle shop to help support himself and his family. Motorcycles or “Motorbikes” are one of the main modes of transportation in Liberia. A large amount of taxi vehicles are motorbikes. Emmanuel continues to live with his mother.

Thanks to the generous donation from Susan Studz, Emmanuel has been re-enrolled in school for the 2020/2021 school year. He is 15 years old and in the 4th grade this year and still wants to be a computer analyst when he grows up. He also has added mechanics to his set of skills by going to the garage after school to learn the trade. Village based garages are interesting. Constructed with makeshift materials, a variety of transport vehicles are serviced. He continues to live with his mother.
