Ellen is repeating the fourth grade this year after facing challenges last year when her parents moved to another location, which caused her to miss the rest of the school year. Despite these difficulties, Ellen has shown incredible resilience and determination to succeed. Her favorite subject is spelling, and she excels in it. According to her teacher, Ellen is a very good student in the classroom, always focused and eager to learn. She is also known for her hardworking nature, not just at school but also at home. After school, Ellen helps with cooking and is always ready to assist her classmates who need help with their lessons. Ellen’s kindness, dedication, and commitment to both her education and helping others make her a truly remarkable student. Love and encouragement are basic ingredients for encouraging success in children. Though Ellen’s home may lack many basics (adequate infrastructure, furnishings, clothing, and oftentimes, adequate food supplies), one thing for sure is what her mother and father lack in finances they more than make up in love and encouragement for their children. Ellen passed to the third grade!  Her favorite subject is math. Meet Ellen, who has been generously sponsored by Jessica Reed. She is 6 years old and in is going to school for the first this year in ABC. Ellen lives in Suakazue, Liberia with her parents who are both unemployed and couldn’t afford to send Ellen to school. Her interests are playing with friends, and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
