Deborah was promoted to the 10th grade this year. She has a strong passion for English, and it remains her favorite and best subject, with the highest grades to show for it. Deborah is also the captain of her kickball team, where she showcases her leadership skills and teamwork. She continues to live with her mother, and despite the challenges they face, she remains focused on her education and extracurricular activities. Deborah’s mother is a Girl Power recipient who recently graduated from high school with the assistance of Girl Power Africa and can not afford to send Deborah and her siblings to school. Her interests are reading and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
