Nineteen-year-old Christina’s school year was incomplete because she had a baby.  She was retained in 7th grade but is looking forward to another chance. Her teacher reports she’s a good student with a good attitude. Christina still wants to be a nurse one day and GPA is honored to walk alongside her to support her hopes and dreams. Meet Christina, who has been generously sponsored by The Luther Family.  She is 14 years old and in the 3rd grade this year. She lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her aunt. Christina’s mother died 3 years ago and she was living with her stepmother. The stepmother was physically and mentally abusive to Christina. One day when Christina couldn’t take the abuse any longer, she walked 21 miles to her aunt, where she currently lives.  Unfortunately, the aunt can not afford to send Christina to school.  Her interests are learning and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
