Charles is now in first grade and shared that he successfully passed last year! Math is his favorite subject, and his teacher noted that he has become more serious and focused in class. Charles lives with his mother, as his father is currently very ill and unable to work. His mother sells soap to support the family. Charles shared that Girl Power Africa’s support with school fees helps him stay in school, feel motivated, and continue working toward his goal of supporting his mother through education. He now wants to one day become a geologist. Sponsored by: Hamby Communications, Inc.

Charles is a 7-year-old boy in Kindergarten-2 this year. He lives with his parents and three siblings. His father is currently not working, and his mother sells peanuts at the local market, earning about $1.25 a day to take care of the family. Unfortunately, they don’t have enough money to send their children to school regularly. When Charles grows up, he dreams of becoming a truck driver. Sponsored by: Ann Dencker & Gary Peroutka
