Cecelia was retained in first grade. It is not clear the circumstances of her retainment, but Cecelia is determined to make a successful pass to second grade during this school year. Thanks to the generous donation from Doris Keyes, Cecelia has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 1st grade this year and still wants to be a seamstress when she grows up. She continues to live with her father.
Meet Cecelia, who has been generously sponsored by Brittany Meyers. She is 9 years old and is in the K-2 grade this year. She lives in New Yekepa Town, Liberia with her father. Her mother abandoned her and her seven brothers and sisters to go marry another man in Guinea. Her interests are to play with her sisters and she hopes to be a seamstress when she grows up.
