BLESSING: S1131-DUA

Blessing is 14 years old and has been promoted to the fifth grade this year. Due to challenges at home—both his mother and father struggle with alcoholism—he was given into the care of one of his aunts. While his aunt has been loving and supportive, she also has many children of her own and has been unable to afford to send Blessing to school regularly. Despite these difficulties, Blessing is a bright and determined student who is eager to learn. Thanks to the support of his sponsor through the Girl Power Africa program, Blessing now has the opportunity to attend school consistently and focus on his education. He is extremely grateful for this chance and is committed to making the most of it, dreaming of a better future for himself and his family.  Sponsored by: Michelle Keller
