Blessing was promoted to the fourth grade, and she has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. Her favorite subject is reading and writing. She really enjoys school, her teachers, and the friends she has made. She says they’re like family. During our interview, she was very grateful for this scholarship. She kept saying “thank you” and “you’ve changed my life”. She continues to live with her aunt and wants to be a doctor one day. sponsored by: Richard Sanders
Thanks to the generous donation from Richard Sanders, Blessing has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Blessing was kept in her current grade level of 3rd grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her aunt and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up.
Meet Blessing, who has been generously sponsored by Richard Sanders. She is 10 years old and is in the 3rd grade this year. She lives in Sopea, Liberia with her aunt. When Blessing was about 2 years old, her father who was a traveling salesman, left town and has never been heard from. Blessing’s mother left her with her aunt to go search for employment in Monrovia 3 years ago and has not returned. Her interests are to help save lives and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
