Blessing continues to show determination in her studies and is proud to have passed to the 5th grade this year. She is apart of the student government and her favorite subject is Math. She lives with her grandmother and faces emotional and financial challenges due to strained family relationships, but she remains motivated to work hard and improve in school. She dreams of becoming a nurse one day so she can help others. Blessing assists at home with daily chores and is grateful for GPA’s support with school fees, shoes, and materials, which makes it possible for her to stay in school and keep moving forward.

Blessing was promoted to third grade and showed good leadership abilities as well as academic excellence. She was selected as honorary Teacher Assistant to the nursery class teacher at her school. After school and during off periods, guided by the teacher, Blessing helps younger students who are struggling academically. Meet Blessing, who has been generously sponsored by Parker & Michelle Connelly. She is 9 years old and is in the 1st grade this year. She lives in Suakazue Town, Liberia with her grandmother. Both parents abandoned her with her grandmother. Her grandmother is sick and unable to properly care for Blessing and her siblings. Her interests are to sell, and she hopes to be a businesswoman when she grows up.
