Billson has been promoted to the second grade this year and continues to grow into a strong and focused student. He shared that science is now his favorite subject, and his teacher describes him as a very good student who works hard in class. Despite the hardships he has faced — including the loss of his father and living far from his disabled mother — Bellson remains determined to succeed in school. His dream of finishing his education so he can one day help his mother continues to motivate him. His hope of becoming a pastor also remains close to his heart, reflecting his caring and compassionate nature. Each year, Bellson shows more maturity, strength, and dedication. He is making the most of every opportunity to learn, carrying both his dreams and his family in his heart. Sponsored by: Mike & Karen Larson

Billson is a 10-year-old boy with a maturity far beyond his years. Currently in the 1st grade, Billson has faced more hardship in his short life than many will experience in a lifetime. Two years ago, his father tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident while riding as a passenger. His mother, who is disabled, has been unable to support the family, leaving Billson with no choice but to be sent to live with his aunt in a faraway town. Because of the distance, Billson rarely sees his mother, a painful separation that weighs heavily on his heart. Despite his young age, Billson’s mind is focused on one thing: finishing school as quickly as possible so that he can go back and help his mother. His desire to support her speaks to his deep sense of responsibility, and his ambition to become a pastor one day reflects his compassionate spirit. He dreams of helping others, just as he hopes to help his own mother in the future. Billson’s teacher and those around him marvel at his maturity and determination, recognizing that he has an inner strength that surpasses his years. While other children his age might be preoccupied with play, Billson’s thoughts are consumed with the well-being of his mother and his aspiration to lead and serve others. Despite the challenges he faces, Billson’s hope and drive to make a positive impact on the world remain strong. Sponsored by: Mike & Karen Larson
