Meet Becky, a resilient 12-year-old who is starting first grade this year. Becky’s mother, unable to support all eight of her children, entrusted Becky to her aunt in hopes of a better future. However, her aunt also struggles financially and was unable to send Becky to school. Despite these hardships, Becky is a hardworking and determined young girl. She takes on many responsibilities at home, including cooking for her aunt and the family. Her dedication and perseverance shine through, and she is grateful for the opportunity to attend school this year.
