ANGEL: S1111-SEC

Angel is a 5-year-old girl who is attending school for the very first time this year. She has begun her educational journey in ABC, the entry-level class in Liberia that prepares children for kindergarten. For Angel, this is a big and exciting step, and one that would not have been possible without support. Angel lives with her grandmother, who has taken on the responsibility of raising Angel and her three brothers and sisters. Angel’s mother, according to the grandmother, has several children and is unable to provide for them. Wanting her grandchildren to be safe and cared for, the grandmother stepped in despite having very limited means. Unfortunately, Angel’s grandmother is unemployed and has not been able to afford school fees for the children. Because of this, Angel had not been able to attend school until now. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity that has been given for Angel to start school this year and begin learning alongside other children her age. This sponsorship means more than just education—it brings hope to Angel and her family.
