Amenata is now 15 years old and was promoted to the fifth grade this year. After earning a double promotion the previous year, she continues to prove that her success was no accident. She remains a strong and dependable student who takes her education seriously. This year, Amenata shared that spelling is her favorite subject. She enjoys learning new words and challenging herself to improve her skills. Her teacher describes her as a very good student to have in class—attentive, respectful, and always willing to help others. She continues to assist her peers when they need extra support, showing the same leadership and kindness that have defined her journey. Amenata’s intelligence, helpful spirit, and steady determination make her a positive example in her classroom. We are proud of her continued growth and grateful for the support that allows her to keep moving forward in her education.

Amenata achieved an incredible milestone this year by receiving a double promotion from second grade to fourth grade. She shared that her favorite class is reading, a subject where she truly excels. Her teachers describe her as an exceptionally smart and dedicated student who goes above and beyond to assist classmates who may be struggling with their lessons. Her leadership qualities also shone brightly this year as she was elected class vice president, a role she takes on with great pride and responsibility. Amenata’s kindness, intelligence, and willingness to support her peers make her a role model in her school community. We are immensely proud of Amenata’s progress and determination. Twelve-year-old Amenata is in second grade and resides with her mother and 3 siblings.  Her father passed away in 2015 leaving her mother to provide for the four children.  Amenata wants to be a doctor one day “to help sick people from dying like my pa did”.  Amenata is thankful for the gift of a scholarship.
