Alicial received a double promotion this year, moving from first grade to third grade, and she is thriving in her studies. Her living situation has remained stable, which has given her a sense of security and the ability to focus more on her schoolwork. She told us that her favorite subject is math, and her teacher has praised her for doing extremely well in class. After school, Alicial helps her family by going to the well to draw water, bringing it home along with other children in the neighborhood so that her family can prepare meals for the day. Her dedication to both her studies and her family shows her strong character and maturity. Alicial is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend school, and her progress is a wonderful reflection of her resilience and determination. Alicial was promoted to the first grade this year, and though she’s had a challenging journey with being shifted from family to family, she has now found some stability with the family she has been living with for the past year. This sense of security has helped her feel more settled, and she is starting to thrive in her new environment. Alicial is a curious and bright student, with a particular love for science. She enjoys exploring new concepts and learning about the world around her. When it comes to food, her favorite meal is beans with rice, something that brings her comfort after a day of learning. Despite the difficulties she has faced, Alicial is showing great resilience, and her progress this year is a testament to her strength. We are pleased to announce that Alicial has returned to Girl Power Africa after one year of being gone. Meet Alicial, who has been generously sponsored by Kathleen Konicek. She is 6 years old and is going to school for the first time this year in ABC.  Alicial is an orphan who lives in Seclepea, Liberia with her grandmother. Both of Alicial’s parents died during the Ebola epidemic in Liberia.  Her interests are playing with her grandmother, and she hopes to be a businesswoman when she grows up.
