January 2024: Thirty five year old Yah earns a livelihood by selling cooked food in her community.  Her husband abandoned her for a younger woman and left Yah to care for their six children.  This is the sad story of many women in Liberia, but, Yah has decided to do all she can to empower herself to not be dependent upon anyone again.  After explaining her market study process, Yah was given a business empowerment grant to expand her cooked food market to include two more affordable dishes.
