January 2024: Winifred is a forty-eight-year-old widow living with her three children.  Two of her children are adults and the youngest, 4 years old, wants to go to school.  Winifred’s older children did not complete school because she and their father could not sustain the amount required for their tuition and supplies.  With her own four-year-old to care for and a few younger grandchildren, Winifred is determined to see this young set of children start and complete school.  She was given a farming supplies package to expand her subsistence farming activities.
