January 2024: Serina is forty-one years old caring for a family of four children.  Her husband opted to live a traditional marriage lifestyle and Serina is one of his three wives.  Like Serina, many Liberian women are raised in rural villages where a culture of polygamy exists.  Regrettably, husbands are rarely held accountable to equitably care for their households. Serina and her children have to do contractual work on people’s farms to earn an average of a little under 1.00 (sometimes less) per day per person.  GPA is happy to extend a farming supplies package to Serina to help expand her farming activities.
