January 2024: Martha is a forty nine year old widow providing for her family of eight children through subsistence farming.  Her adult children help out with the farming activities and collectively they try to sustain the school enrollment of the younger children and keep the family fed.  Martha’s humble, determined commitment to sustain her family’s growth and development is exemplary.  She asked for tools to expand her farming enterprise and was given a farming supplies package.
