January 2024: Kou Pala is a thirty-nine-year-old single mother providing for her family of six.  She shared a story of how she managed to purchase two bundles of zinc to build her house: a daunting feat for subsistence farmers.  Her husband sold the zinc and abandoned his family.  Kou Pala has been trying to recover from this misfortune and works hard to provide for her family.  She still dreams of building her house.  Kou was given a farming supplies package to expand her farming enterprise.
