January 2024: Forty year old Kou is a widow struggling to provide for her four children.  She dreams of a day when she no longer has to wake up with the urgency of seeking casual labor to earn something to feed her family.  Her husband died of Ebola and since then, Kou has struggled to provide for her family’s basis needs.  She requested a farming supplies package from GPA so she can do her own farm.  With additional tools, she can barter with other farmers for their services by selectively lending her tools out to those who cannot afford to acquire additional ones for themselves.
