January 2024: Forty year old Kou desperately wants her school age children to attend school.  Her subsistence farming activities keeps the family fed but cannot provide funds for school tuition and fees.  Kou wants to expand her farming enterprise by bartering with other farmers to help her out.  If she had more tools, she can ask them to give her a half day to plant and tend her farm.  This cultural practice of helping out single mothers is a plus for the Kou’s of Liberia.  She was granted a farming supplies package.
